Who We Are

Statement of Purpose

We are proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to Northwest Arkansas and the World and discipling those who believe.

We are a fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ who are taking seriously the instructions of our Lord to take the Good News about Him to all the people of the world.

Our fellowship is called Immanuel Baptist Church. Our location is The Global Outreach Center. We have so named our location because the church is composed of the redeemed people of Immanuel. The building is a primary tool of the church. Another reason for calling our location the Global Outreach Center is to remind us of the primary purpose of our fellowship.

We are Baptists by conviction because that tradition is committed to a scholarly handling of the Bible as the perfect Word of God. We are Southern Baptist because in such a Convention the local churches are self-guiding and because they have the most effective mission force in Christianity.

Vision Statement

From the Global Outreach Center we will join Christ on His Journey to reach people. We Will:

• Experience the Journey which begins at the Cross
• Enjoy the Journey in the fellowship of God's Community
• Embrace the Journey by obeying God's Commission

Immanuel Attitude

We are part of the “Fellowship of the Unashamed.” We have the Holy Spirit Power. The die has been cast. We’ve stepped over the line. The decision has been made. We are His disciples. We won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away or be still. Our past is redeemed, our present makes sense and our future is secure. We are finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tame visions, mundane talking, chintzy giving and dwarfed goals! We no longer need pre-eminence, prosperity, position, promotions, plaudits or popularity. We don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded or rewarded. We now live by presence, lean by faith, love by patience, lift by prayer and love by power. Our faces are set, our gait is fast, our goal is heaven, and our road is narrow, our way is rough, our companions few, our Guide reliable, and our mission clear. We cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded or delayed. We will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity nor meander in the maze of mediocrity. We won’t give up, shut up, let up or burn up till we’ve preached up, prayed up, paid up, stored up and stayed up for the cause of Christ. We are disciples of Jesus. We must go till He comes, give till we drop, preach till all know and work till He stops. And when He comes to get His own, He’ll have no problem recognizing us. Our colors will be clear. We are Immanuel Baptist Church.
