You will find people of every walk of life and every age group who will be glad to see you at the GO Center. The atmosphere is light and encouraging, the music is contemporary and tastefully varied, and the preaching is always rich in Bible content and full of encouragement and challenge. The facilities are new and the space is designed for multiple uses with many areas designed to foster new relationships.
You will not be singled out or embarrassed in any way when you attend Immanuel. All of our ministries are open for you to try and we encourage people to come several times in order to really get a feel for our passion to touch lives for Jesus.
From the first moments you step on our campus we will strive to greet you warmly and guide you through your visit and answer any questions you may have along the way.
Our church loves children and their dads and moms. Our new facilities feature high security for children including a check-in system that will allow mom and dad to relax as they enjoy the ministries here. There are two new playgrounds (one indoor and one outdoor) and another will be added soon. Immanuel has study programs, AWANA, sports programs and Sunday morning Children’s churches where your children will learn and grow in an atmosphere they will love. You children will not dread getting up on Sunday morning to come to Immanuel. Our children are on the move and so they are called GO Kids!
No period of life requires more shifting from one great change to another. For that reason our youth ministry is called Shakarooth. Our goal is to assist parents in helping students navigate through these stages with the spiritual successes that lead them to a great future. Our youth facilities carry an industrial look and include great times of friendship, Bible study, music and recreation.
Expect Immanuel to fill the gaps. We have a program called The Journey that will help you plan and achieve the best life possible. A mix of regular classes, special studies, and high-powered worship will always be at our core. However, we believe that our fellowship should really challenge men and so we have developed a campus and programs that will help men to feel church is no longer just a place for the women and children.
Yes, IBC is a bible believing, bible teaching church. We do not apologize for being a people of The Book. Our pastor sets the pace. He uses his knowledge of Greek and Hebrew as well as other disciplines from his educational background to be sure each message is true to the text.
In our opinion, too many people equate a church with its location. The church is really the people. The buildings and property is the location where the church meets. We think naming the property will help keep the distinction and at the same time be a constant reminder to us of the purpose of the church, to be a starting point for reaching the world with the good news of Jesus Christ.
IBC has a distinctive and unique ministry approach. Our core study, The Journey, has been developed in-house and helps our first focus to be on people instead of programs. Therefore, programs are constructed around the real needs of our members with the result that they are practical and deeply fulfilling.
The Global Outreach Center approach to missions is also a new variation. We use our technologies ministry to connect regularly with mission fields around the world. We add to this a strong emphasis on some traditional mission work, such as mission trips, and the result is a global ministry footprint.
Immanuel is also known for taking strong stands for the Bible, the family, and for the values that made America a great nation.
Members of our church are born again believers in Jesus Christ who stand in a covenant relationship with one another and with the Lord. We are devoted to serving the Lord and one another and extending the work of God’s Kingdom.
In our church every member is equal and mutually accountable. Every member is encouraged to find at least one ministry to be a part of, to be faithful to pray for the church fellowship, and to be an encouragement to other members.
To join a person must be a believer in Jesus Christ and willing to confess Him as Lord and Savior. A part of that confession is believer’s baptism that takes place either in our church or in a church of like faith. As well, they must be willing to agree with the beliefs of the church. See Our Beliefs. Another tool to review as you pray about placing your membership here are Our Distinctives.
If you believe the Lord would have you be part of IBC, then you can let us know during the invitation at any worship service or you can complete the following and send it to us. Someone will then contact you about how to make your membership official.
If you have questions about joining, then please send us an email and we will be glad to answer those questions.
Of course, you can always speak to one of our pastors or members about how to join.
